So, I have a Twitter account (twitter.com/singingjaimie if you really want to know), and I tend to get a lot of my news from that site via the trending topics. If you don't go on Twitter, the trending topics are just certain keywords that are appearing in a lot of people's Tweets at the moment. In other words, they're the popular topics of discussion at the moment.

Anyway, I went on today and saw that one of the trending topics was "RIP Geocities." When I saw that and saw other people's tweets, I became very nostalgic. I had a Geocities back in the day. Well, technically I still have it because I have a Yahoo account, but I haven't used it in forever. Do you old users remember when Neopets became really, really strict/dumb about Petpages and blocked outside links, even for a lot of images? Yeah, that's when I began using my Geocities. I remember making a page for Starlight on that site, spending hours and hours working on that thing. And I remember hosting stuff there even before that happened with the Petpages.

And then I was thinking about it and remembered that I used Freewebs.com, too, which is now Webs.com. I remember using that for everything, too. I think I used to host a bunch of images on there...

It seems like forever ago when this happened. I haven't played Neopets--like, really played on there--in years. Think the last time I was really active was freshmen year of high school, maybe sophomore. That was when I met people like Carts and Reedz and Uni and everyone else.

Unfortunately I haven't talked to you guys in forever ;;

And of course I did a ton more art back then. I still do some now. Unfortunately, whenever I really get going on something, I always find that I have a bunch of homework to work on and it kills it. :/

Ugh, talking about this makes me feel so old! But yeah. Just wanted to share. Especially if you didn't know.
